“The Innovator” gets into Pasadena, California’s 1st ever Film & Video Poetry Symposium. Mary wrote the piece in 2001 about the experience of not being chosen for grad school. However, with narration, photography elements, and the music and filming the work took on an apocalyptic sci-fi feel for a moving story about survival, mathematical statistics, and our relationship to the environment. The themes being: what are we doing to our planet and our children?
The festival will be held from April 27th to 28th, 2018 in Los Angeles, California.
The festival and symposium will celebrate and screen a large scope of film and video projects developed through the medium of poetry. This event will also host a series of panels, guest speakers, and public dialogues regarding film and video poetry over the course of the symposium.
Mary’s play “Madame Russo’s Psychic Parlor” is produced by Emerald Theater Company for their 10 minute “Out of the Closet” Festival – Memphis, TN.

Mary has been cast in the Independant Science Fiction Feature Film “Soft Matter” written and directed by Jim Hickcox, lensing for 11 days in Austin, TX. Mary will be portraying Dr. Kriegspiel in a co-starring role.

Mary won Best Supporting Actress in a Short Film at the 2016 Idyllwild International Festival of Cinema for her role as The Nanny in The Tenor. The film was directed by Damon Crump & written by Brian Elliot. The DP was John Franklin, sound by David “Ears” Feagan. Music by Alan Shipp. The Tenor is a Jackalope Entertainment Production in affiliation with Baylor University’s Film and Digital Media Department (FDM).

Mary stars in “The Greek Goddess, Anonymous” via her company “Lonesome Films”, creatively using one of her own comedic monologues as the script for a short film mixing animation and live action. Directed by Jeff Stolhand.

Mary writes the short film “Out of Your Element” over Christmas break for Director/Producer Nicole Acworth which goes into production in Brisbane, Australia.
Mary stars in “Smoke and Mirrors” via her company “Lonesome Films”, creatively using one of her own stage monologues as the script for a short film. Directed by Jeff Stolhand.
Mary to voice Animated Character in SAG Feature Film
Mary will be lending her voice to several characters in Linda Andersson’s “The Grid: Zombie Outlet Maul” (2015)
